House was very nice and well stocked. We had a few minor problems but Alex was extremely responsive and helpful and everything went fine. The listing was accurate. There are 4 bedrooms and a sofabed room and a large loft. Two of the bedrooms and the sofabed room are connected in a row so you have to pass through one to get to the other. All in all it was a great rental and I would recommend it without reservation.

The location is amazing! Tons of trees and in the woods but close enough to others to not be freaked out. Deer EVERYWHERE!!! They even provided deer food which was nice and the kids loved! The home was nice and cozy! Family gathered and laughed and it was great! The host was very kind and accommodated in such last minute since we were evacuating from the hurricane! I would for sure go back even if there isn’t a hurricane!

Well set up to host a large group, the layout was ideal for us. The kitchen was well stocked, everything felt very clean ( as this is a priority). The host was responsive and went out of his way to ensure we had a wonderful stay. There was several things to do within the area for a large group looking for outdoor adventure- Amicalola Creek ( 50 minutes) Clear Creek to Cartecay River ( 25 minutes) and Cartecay River Experience ( 20 minutes). There’s also a park right outside the subdivision that we played kickball and soccer at nightly. We never ended up using the amenities as they do take some time to get to. However, the cabin itself offered plenty of entertainment with plenty of games, fire pit and hot tub. We often had deer visits as well. The neighborhood is incredibly quiet as well ( never heard anything). The only thing to note is the roads in the neighborhood are steep and windy ( we had a minivan). It took this Florida girl some time to adjust.

Nice cabin, all as described & well equipped. It's about a 15 minute drive from the resort entrance to the cabin.  There are some some steep and windy roads that are all mostly paved depending on which of the 3 entrances and exits you use.  Get your groceries before you head in.

Family first vacation, and to be able to stay in your lovely home made it even more special!  Having all of us under one roof was just what we wanted!  The large family dinner table for meals and board games hosted several nights of laughter and memory making for us!  The amazing fire pit hosted a first roasted marshmallow experience to almost 22 month old!  We all enjoyed the deer and tossed corn to them from the balcony-so fun!  Thank you for making your beautiful home available so we and others can make amazing memories to last a lifetime!

 Alex was an incredible host. Extremely responsive and friendly. He has a prepared booklet of things to do in the area and other great suggestions. The check-out list made the process a breeze. We had 2 couples and 10 teenagers and we fit in the place with ease. The boys brushed up on their poker skills, the girls fed the deer that came at all hours of the day (the host even provided bags of feed for the deer!), and we all enjoyed the campfire and amenities. Putt putt golf and pickleball were the favs. The house was fully stocked.  Thank you for the great detail you put into your rental. It made for a great family spring break the kids won’t forget.   Highly recommend.

We booked Alex’s DeerWoodsLodge.com cabin for a small wedding (17 guests, 12 that stayed overnight). My husband I went up Thursday and were amazed by how warm and inviting the place was! It looks very similar to the one we are building just a few miles away and the decor was nearly identical to what we have purchased for our new home.
We took 2 tubs of decorations, as well as tableware, glasses, cleaning supplies and brought food and incidentals. We did not unpack half of a tub of our items (pictures, sentimental “Knick knacks” and flowers) everything else was there and went with our rustic theme.
When they say only bring your clothes and what you plan on eating believe it!!!
The cabinets were full of nice white dishware as well as plates for kids. There were 2 full cabinets of assorted cups and glasses and a cabinet full of spices and seasonings. We had an abundance of towels including large ones for the hot tub. If you were planning a special event or vacation this is the place!!!
PS. Feed the deer💍🦌💖

We are super grateful for the accommodations at DeerWoodsLodge.com.  You have a wonderful house and the family enjoyed it very much.  Especially the children enjoyed it every day.   Your house is super complete and equipped for everything we need, we hope to return.  It has beautiful surroundings, & is peaceful & private. Amazing cabin for a group trip  at DeerWoodsLodge.com.  The upstairs loft had a bunch of space for games and an arcade!  Great hot tub and fire pit! Awesome first level common area to hang out. Highly recommend! The owner is always responsive and friendly.

This cabin has the most amenities out of all the ones we previously rented.  Feeding and watching all the deer was one of the best highlights of the trip.  The kids loved it!

 Alex was a wonderful host and this rental was absolutely beautiful! It accommodated our large family and was a great place for us to gather and connect. The house was clean and perfectly stocked, all we needed was the food we were cooking. The loft with all the games was perfect for all ages. A pleasant surprise was that the house was already decorated for the holidays! Alex provided prompt communication and went above and beyond my expectations with the customer service he provided when I informed him of a very minor inconvenience. The community was sprawling and the wildlife was abundant. I would absolutely book this house again and recommend this rental to anyone looking for a great getaway!

It was absolutely great having our three kids with their kids at DeerWoodsLodge.com. The cousins getting to spend time together was enjoyable. Feeding the deer and the fire pit were the favorites. We live beachside in Florida so the winding roads and all the wooden terrain made for an exciting time. Highly recommended for a little getaway.

I would give 6 stars if I could to DeerWoodsLodge.com! This our third family vacation at a cabin, and this was overall the best. You don`t have to bring anything but food. The house is stocked with everything. The owner got back to me right away anytime i texted. Good size driveway for multiple cars which is rare for these mountain cabins. Everything worked, no problems with anything. Don`t hesitate about renting this place.

I just can’t put into words what a wonderful property this is. We had an amazing experience at the DeerWoodsLodge.com cabin! Everything was so cozy and clean, it felt like a home away from home. The details to everything made it extra special. The loft was stocked with lots of games, setting a great atmosphere for family bonding. The hot tub was clean, and the fire pit was stocked with a wood supply making it amazing! The kitchen had everything we needed to cook meals together. Every bed was comfortable and had a heated blanket which allowed for a great night’s sleep. The owner was fantastic, keeping in great communication with us. The attention to detail from the adorable treats left for us upon arrival and amazing organized cabin book with details about the cabin, resort, and fun things to see and do in and around town, to the toiletries in the restrooms, and beach towels left for use with the hot tub! We highly recommend this cabin to our family and friends, and also to our own future brides and grooms at our wedding venue we own in this town also, you won't be disappointed, rent this cabin today for your family get away!

This DeerWoodsLodge.com home was perfect for our large group, including multiple children and adults. The space was well thought out. The kids loved the loft area with arcade games and space for them to spread out and enjoy themselves. The kitchen was well appointed with all the necessary cooking instruments for making meals for a large group. There was even a little coffee area where they provided a handful of pods for the Keurig, which really came in handy.

The fire pit was great to sit around in the chilly evening, and we were so grateful for the abundance of firewood provided. It was perfect for making s’more's.  The community itself had plenty of activities to entertain everyone of all ages. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back!
